Working with me

Who is Cristian Gonzalez?
Licensed REALTOR® in Florida (FL License #3633800) with eXp Realty, based in Ocala. U.S. Navy Veteran, born and raised in Marion County, with a background in IT and automation. I help buyers, sellers, and investors across Ocala and Marion County.
What areas do you serve?
Ocala and all of Marion County, Florida. That includes On Top of the World, Oak Run, Stone Creek, Calesa Township, Marion Oaks, Belleview, Dunnellon, and the equestrian corridor around the World Equestrian Center and NW Marion County.
Do you work with first-time buyers?
Absolutely. First-time buyer or 10th purchase, you get the same thing: a clear plan, honest numbers, and no pressure. I will walk you through pre-approval, offer strategy, inspection decisions, and closing so you know exactly what is happening and why. You can start browsing anytime at searchocalahomes.com.
Do you help real estate investors?
Yes. I help investors evaluate buy-and-hold rentals, short-term rentals, horse-property investments, and VA multi-unit purchases where the buyer lives in one unit and rents the others. The approach emphasizes cash flow and equity, not one-off transactions. See my approach.
Do you handle luxury or equestrian properties?
Yes. Luxury estates and horse properties near the World Equestrian Center and across NW Marion County are a big part of what I do. For high-end estate browsing, start at Ocala Luxury Home Search.
What is eXp Realty, and how is that different?
eXp Realty is the largest independent real estate brokerage in the U.S., structured as a cloud brokerage. For you as a client, it means I have access to a national agent network for relocations and transaction tooling that smaller independent brokerages do not have. You still get a single, local point of contact: me.
Why "I don't just find homes, I engineer your wealth"?
Because a house is almost always the largest financial decision a family makes, and treating it only as a lifestyle purchase, with no view of the long-term financial picture, costs people real money. I would rather help you buy later and buy right than buy now and regret it. See my approach.
Do you give legal, tax, or financial advice?
No. I am a real estate agent, not an attorney, CPA, or financial advisor. I can explain how the real estate side of a transaction works, but for legal, tax, or lending questions you should consult a licensed professional in that field. See terms of use.

Costs

What does it cost to work with you as a buyer?
In most Florida transactions, the seller covers the buyer-agent fee. We will discuss any exceptions upfront, in writing, before you tour a home. For VA buyers: As of October 2026, VA allows Veterans to pay reasonable and customary buyer-broker fees under a temporary policy (VA Circular 26-24-14). Confirm the current rules with your VA lender. Official program details are on VA's home loan site. To start your search, visit searchocalahomes.com.
What does it cost to work with you as a seller?
$0 upfront. No listing fees, photography fees, or marketing fees charged before closing. The commission is set in your listing agreement and paid at closing, out of proceeds. See how I market and sell homes at sellocalahome.com.

Veterans and VA loans

Do you work with Veterans and VA loan buyers?
Yes. As a Navy Veteran, serving military families is a focus of my practice. I know how VA appraisals, minimum property requirements, and the funding fee work in the Ocala market. As of October 2026, VA allows Veterans to pay reasonable and customary buyer-broker fees under a temporary policy (VA Circular 26-24-14). Confirm the current rules with your VA lender. The free VA home buying guide walks through the whole benefit, and VA's home loan site has the official program details.

Process and technology

How do I book a call?
How fast do you respond to a new lead?
Usually within a few hours during the day, and the same day on evenings and weekends. If you need me now, call or text 352-303-9050.
How do you communicate during a transaction?
You pick the primary channel (text, call, email) and I match it. On top of that, I run milestone-based updates so you always know what just happened, what is next, and what you need to do. If I owe you a response, you get it the same day.
How do you use technology and automation for clients?
I come from an IT and automation background. For clients that means live MLS alerts tuned to your actual criteria, listing performance dashboards for sellers, same-day lead response, and transaction-milestone communication. It is a differentiator most Ocala agents do not offer. See the about page.
